Nerdist’s shows are coming to life at SDCC in the Nerdist House
Nerdist is bringing its shows to the Nerdist House for all four days of #SDCC! Here’s what you can expect to see.
SDCC-goers know that the secret to having an amazing time at the convention is knowing how to take part in all of the amazing events, activations and experiences that take place around the city, and not just inside the convention center itself.
This year, Nerdist is heading back to San Diego Comic-Con International with a “special SDCC edition” of Nerdist House (aka Sparks Gallery at 530 Sixth Ave.)
And if you don’t have a SDCC badge, no worries, because Nerdist House will be open to the public and free of charge. So if you don’t have a 4-day badge, this could be an awesome event to attend on a day when you don’t have a badge.
So what is Nerdist House?
"Nerdist house is an all-day entertainment and refreshments, special social hours and fan parties, live Nerdist shows, in-depth interviews and conversations, meet & greets, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, a VR experience, and much more. This year, Nerdist House highlights will include in-depth looks at shows featured on Nerdist, Geek & Sundry, and Alpha (the premium streaming entertainment service from Legendary Digital Networks), as well as up close and personal conversations with honored guests, all live from the Nerdist stage."

Highlights of course include live editions of some of the site’s most popular shows like Nerdist News Talks Back, Talkin’ Toons, and Because Science. Along with live episodes, there will also be a panel/conversation with Adi Shankar of Bootleg Universe, and a Maltin On Movies podcast with Leonard Maltin, Jessie Maltin featuring guests Shameik Moore, Kat Graham, and Terrence Howard.
We’re just as excited for the VR here though (you may need to study your space survival knowledge first). The Nerdist House will have a VR experience that’s based on the series SONA where you’ll need to utilize those out-of-this-world survival skills. If you’re more interested in the SDCC nightlife, there’s a Bizarre States podcast party for fans that’s celebrating the show’s 200th episode.
