Season 6, episode 1 “First Time Again”

More from AMC

“First Time Again” is the Season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead. You may remember it as the episode that made you believe something was wrong with your television as the scenes switch from color to black and white to illustrate past and present time. But fans of Rick Grimes associate “First Time Again” with one of the most badass lines Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes says in the series.

After catching Eugene accidentally eavesdropping on Tobin, Carter, and a few others about wanting to throw Rick out of Alexandria, Carter points his gun at Eugene. Rick walks in just in time and takes Carter’s gun. Rick decides not to shoot Carter, though, but Mr. Grimes does leave Carter shaking with these words:

"“You really think you’re gonna take this community from us? From Glenn? From Michonne? From Daryl? From me?! Do you have any idea who you’re talking to?“"

Next: One questions we want TWD to answer before the series ends

Chills. Every time! Rick shows mercy and tells Carter they should all work together instead, but he does make it clear Carter won’t prevail if he tries anything again.

This is the Rick Grimes we love and will always remember. The no-bullshit, no time to waste, Boss-Rick!

What has been your favorite Rick Grimes moment in the series? We don’t want to see the character leave, but we hope he gives us more amazing boss scenes before he’s gone!

The Walking Dead returns with Season 9 this fall!
