San Diego Comic-Con will be debuting The Walking Dead’s season 9 trailer tomorrow. The mood seems morose as Negan questions the security of the current situation.

The Walking Dead season 9 premiere will be upon us come October. At this point, Negan and the Saviors have been secured. The enemy has given their unconditional surrender, but the unseen leader of the Saviors question whether “all this is on lock”.

There seems to be a never-ending theme to The Walking Dead franchise, and from what I’ve seen, eventually communities fall. Negan’s remark in the teaser seems to point this out. This is akin to The Matrix’s Agent Smith saying, “It is inevitable!”

There is an obvious tension looming as some are against Negan’s reason for living. Maggie, Daryl, and Jesus were plotting in secret this consequence at the end of season 8. They are not happy at all with Rick and Michonne preserving his life whatsoever.

Michonne is heard saying that there are consequences for good and bad behavior as the communities of Oceanside and the Saviors come together with the others. Old-fashioned wooden signs indicate which direction each community is located.

The Walking Dead main trailer is said to debut come tomorrow’s panel which will feature Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, and Jeffery Dean Morgan, according to ComicBook.com.

The new showrunner Angela Kang will be on board as well as Chief Content Officer, Scott Gimple. Other producers such as Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero, too. Show creator Robert Kirkman will also be on deck.

How do you think season 9 of The Walking Dead communities will pan out? Will they inevitably fall or actually gain traction this time? Don’t forget, Georgie gave Hilltop the impression that they have a capable infrastructure, minus some records. However, since tensions loom between Maggie and Rick, how forthcoming will she be with her help?
