SDCC 2018 Saturday program schedule: What not to miss

San Diego Comic-Con released their programming schedule for Saturday, July 21. You don’t need to be there to follow along. Here is a list of TV and film panels you should pay attention to!

SDCC heads into the weekend schedule with a very long list of programming that you should keep an eye on. After standout panels in Friday’s schedule, Saturday doesn’t miss a beat. There are a ton of new and returning shows making a stop during Saturday’s fun-filled day.

Saturday is highlighted with the CW superhero slate as all five of their DC shows will be presenting their panels during the day. TV won’t be all that takes the buzz because Warner Bros. is scheduled to have their highly anticipated panel. Rumors have been swirling on what the studio has in store for their fans at SDCC. As said in our previous posts, there are multiple ways to follow from home.

Saturday, July 21

Black Lightning

  • Time: 11:00-11:45am PST
  • Guests: Cress Williams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, Damon Gupton, James Remar

Black Lightning was an instant hit for the CW and Warner Bros. Television so the cast will be stopping by to provide details about their second season.

The Good Place

  • Time: 11:00-11:50am PST
  • Guests: Michael Schur, Morgan Sackett, Drew Goddard (EPs); Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto

The critically acclaimed NBC sitcom will be making its SDCC debut with the entire cast as they will hint where the story might go with the upcoming third season.

Krypton

  • Time: 12:00-12:50pm PST
  • Guests: TBA

Cast and crew are expected to make an appearance to discuss the surprises from the first season. Fans will also be given insight into what to expect with the second season.

Legacies

  • Time: 2:00-2:50pm PST
  • Guests: Julie Plec (EP); Danielle Rose Russell, Matthew Davis

Legacies is a spin-off and the latest installment from the creators of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Ahead of the series premiere this fall, the series main stars will be on hand for a video presentation and a Q&A session.

The Gifted

  • Time: 2:30-3:15pm PST
  • Guests: Matt Nix, Jeph Loeb (EPs); Stephen Moyer, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Natalie Alyn Lind, Skyler Samuels

After an explosive first season, the main cast and the producers of the series will discuss the events and present an exclusive look into season two.

Midnight, Texas

  • Time: 2:45-3:45pm PST
  • Guests: David Janollari, Eric Charmelo, Nicole Snyder (EPs); François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz – Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah

The NBC series is making its return to SDCC to give a sneak peek at the upcoming second season. There will also be a Q&A session with the cast and producing team.

Supergirl

The cast and creators of the CW series are stopping by to discuss the most recent season and what is in store for Supergirl‘s fourth season. There will reportedly be a special video presentation followed by a Q&A.

Arrow

  • Time: 4:15-5:00pm PST
  • Guests: TBA

The cast and crew of the super-hit series will reveal brand-new details regarding the seventh season premiering this fall. Like most CW shows at SDCC, Arrow will most likely release new footage during the panel.

The Man in the High Castle

  • Time: 4:15-5:15pm PST
  • Guests: Isa Dick Hackett, Dan Percival (EPs); Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Stephen Root, Jason O’Mara

The Amazon Prime series returns to SDCC to present a sneak peek and a discussion surrounding the upcoming third season. There will also a Q&A session with the audience.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

  • Time: 5:00-5:45pm PST
  • Guests: TBA

The cast and creators of the spin-off series are set to discuss the most recent season as well as preview the upcoming fourth season.

The Purge

  • Time: 5:15-6:15pm PST
  • Guests: Jason Blumhouse (Blumhouse Productions founder); James DeMonaco (Creator of film franchise); Lex Scott Davis (The First Purge); Anthony Hemingway (Director/EP); Gabriel Chavarria, Amanda Warren, Fiona Dourif

As the Purge film franchise continues waking waves from Blumhouse, the creators of the hit movies will give an inside look as they transition to television. The creators will be joined by the cast of the new series that takes place ten years after the events of The First Purge.

Disenchantment

  • Time: 5:30-6:30pm PST
  • Guests: Matt Groening, TBA

Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, will be in attendance to discuss his upcoming animated Netflix series, Disenchantment. He will be joined by fellow creators and cast to present a look into the medieval series and answer questions.

The Flash

  • Time: 5:45-6:30pm PST
  • Guests: TBA

The cast and crew of The Flash will round out the CW’s jam-packed Saturday schedule with an in-depth discussion into the most recent season. The cast will also touch on the burning questions surrounding the upcoming fifth season.

Deadly Class

  • Time: 6:00-6:50pm PST
  • Guests: Rick Remender (Creator/EP/Showrunner); Wes Craig (Comic Co-creator); Miles Orion Feldsott, Mick Betancourt (EPs/Showrunners); Benjamin Wadsworth, Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, María Gabriela De Faría, Luke Tennie

The cast and creators of the highly-anticipated SYFY series will make their first trip to SDCC to preview the show’s premiere season. The creator of the comic, which the show is based, will also be in attendance for the panel.

Wynonna Earp

  • Time: 6:45-7:45pm PST
  • Guests: Emily Andras (Showrunner); Beau Smith (Comic creator); Melanie Scrofano, Shamier Anderson, Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, Varun Saranga, Chantel Riley

After premiering the first episode of season three to fans on Friday, the cast will be back on Saturday for an in-depth discussion of the new season. There will also be new footage premiered.

The Magicians

  • Time: 7:00-7:50pm PST
  • Guests: Sera Gamble, John McNamara (EPs); Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Summer Bishil

The Magicians returns to SDCC to give an exclusive look into the upcoming fourth season including a chance for the cast to answer all lingering questions.

Warner Bros.

  • Time: 10:30-12:30pm PST
  • Guests: TBA

The major studio will kick off Saturday events with a two hour to preview their upcoming slate of films. The guests have not been announced but fans expect DC films–Aquaman, Wonder Woman 1984, and Shazam!–to be involved in some way.

The Darkest Minds

  • Time: 3:00-4:00pm PST
  • Guests: Alexandra Bracken (Author); Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Director); Amandla Stenberg, Harris Dickinson, Skylan Brooks, Miya Cech

The cast and creators projected summer blockbuster from 20th Century Fox will stop by SDCC to discuss the YA phenomenon.
