Preacher’s SDCC trailer shows what’s to come with Allfather, Satan, Hitler and more in the dark comedy.

Preacher is not a shy television show. It will cross lines, jump over them. Then cross them again.

Though, executive producer Seth Rogen does have one line they won’t cross. “Sex with dead things, we kind of shy away from,” Rogen said at the San Diego Comic-Con Preacher panel.

More from AMC

While the panel was filled with quips and insight into the AMC show, the trailer for the second half of Season 3 was also released and should hype every fan up for what’s to come.

Here are five takeaways from the SDCC-exclusive Preacher trailer.

Allfather is here

We get to dive into the Allfather, who Herr Starr isn’t a big fan of. The peek of him in the trailer showed a massively obese, slovenly man. Allfather is ready to take over, waiting on the apocalypse.

It doesn’t help that Humperdoo’s debutante party seems to be coming at the same time.

Gran’Ma has Satan on speed dial

If you thought Gran’Ma was bad enough with her spells and torture, she seems to be buddies with Satan. Unsurprisingly, she’s willing to sell out her family members for own gain. In this case, she’s throwing Jesse to horned, red creature.

It’s unclear what she gets in exchange for giving up Jesse and presumably Genesis, but that’s Gran’Ma for you.

Tulip wants to kill Gran’Ma

Tulip has an answer to a problem – kill Gran’ma. Interestingly enough, it was also Jesse’s solution in the first episode of season 3.

We don’t actually know if killing Gran’Ma would remove the hold she has on Jesse, but it’s a good guess that it could. Gran’Ma does die in the comics, and while the writers have changed course a bit from the source material, it feels like a given she would meet her demise in the television series too.

Preacher doesn’t care about your reviews

During trailers, quotes are often used to spice up a video to get people excited about what’s to come. Preacher also used quotes, but not the ones you would think.

These were the quotes thrown into the trailer:

"“A show that disrespects everything.”“Not appropriate for television.”"

It’s pretty funny they would take negative quotes and turn them into a positive for the purpose of the trailer.

One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to see what’s coming on Preacher.
