Big Brother 20 ratings for the Sunday night episodes continued a string of stellar performances on July 22. CBS turned in some impressive numbers for the Week 4 Nomination Ceremony and the revelation that Sam Bledsoe had won the Head of Household Competition.

The updated numbers are in for the July 22 television ratings. According to a report from TV By the Numbers, the Big Brother 20 ratings were a 1.5/6 for the evening. Notching a 1.5 in the key demographic (viewers aged 18-49) is huge, especially on a Sunday night. The next closest shows were Celebrity Family Feud (1.1) and The $100,000 Pyramid (0.9).

In addition to winning the night in the key demographic, CBS drew an estimated 5.45 million viewers. That made it the second most-watched show in primetime, trailing just Celebrity Family Feud and an estimated 6.08 million total viewers. It also continued a trend of viewers choosing CBS over cable this summer.

Those numbers could possibly get even better as the summer progresses, especially as viewers start to settle in and pick the houseguests they most want to win the $500,000 prize.

The Sunday episode (July 15) drew a 1.4 mark, just behind the Wednesday episode (July 11) and Thursday episode (July 12) at 1.5. Regarding overall viewership numbers, the July 15 episode had an estimated 5.193 million viewers. Counting all primetime shows for the week, Big Brother slid in at No. 14 with that episode. The other two nights placed No. 11 and No. 13 in overall viewers.

The next Sunday night episode for Big Brother 20 will come on July 29. This will be the episode to reveal the nominations from the new HOH. That HOH should get crowned at some point on the evening of July 26, but it’s projected to be a big episode that might not fill the one-hour time slot. This could lead to more information coming out on the CBS live feeds.
