Knightfall season 2: Has it quietly been renewed?

Knightfall season 2 has had no official confirmation but there are plenty of signs pointing in the direction of the series returning for a second season.
It’s been six months since the season finale of Knightfall aired on HISTORY and yet there has been no official announcement if the series will return for a second season or not. However, there are plenty of signs pointing to the fact the Knightfall season 2 has quietly been renewed.
The first sign is the fact that we have had no news. If Knightfall season 2 was to not going ahead, there seems to be no reason why they would sit on this announcement for so long. If it was to be canceled, they surely would have said so by now.

It’s not as though HISTORY is not up for canceling any shows either. They recently canceled its military series SIX, which brings us onto our next point.
When it was announced that Six had been canceled, Deadline was one of the very first outlets to report the news. And in their report, right at the very bottom, is a reference to Knightfall and how they have heard that it is gearing up for a season 2.
Deadline is one of the most trusted sources for entertainment news so for them to come out and make such a statement is a pretty big thing.
Finally, we have an interview with Padraic Delany, the actor who played Gawain. Kngihtfall has only just premiered in the UK and was promoting the series in Ireland. During the interview, he talked about his experience playing Gawain and at the very end is a snippet of how he is preparing for season 2.

So, if we take all of the signs, no news is good news; Deadline reporting how they are gearing up for season 2 and Padraic Delaney stating he is getting ready are positive signs. I think it is pretty safe to assume that Knightfall season 2 is a go.
We just need that official nod.
