3. Scarlett finding happiness

I am glad that Scarlett didn’t end up back with Gunner. As cute as the two were together, they just weren’t right for one another. We’d had enough of that drama and I’m glad Nashville Season 6 brought a stop to it.

However, when did Scarlett meet her fiance? I know this was supposed to show that Scarlett was finding happiness, but did she really need to be engaged to be happy? That kind of makes the point that women will only be happy if their relationship with a man is going in the “right” direction. This was just after Scarlett had told Maddie that she deserved to be happy, even if that meant not being with a guy she liked.

Plus, this was only a few months later. She got engaged within a few months? That tells me Scarlett hasn’t really changed, despite doing a lot of growing in the last season.

2. What made Avery return to Juliette?

Juliette certainly did a lot of growing in the final episodes and made it clear that she wanted Avery to be happy. While she wanted him, she wanted him to want her and that wasn’t the case at the time. I loved that talk and it was clear eventually Avery was going to decide he wanted to be with Juliette.

At what point did he decide that? What made him decide that he couldn’t live without her? It would have been perfect seeing that play out. Just a glimpse of him going through text messages or looking at old photos would have been enough.

Returning to her after a few months just wasn’t the reunion I was hoping for in Nashville Season 6. But then, I’ve been rooting for these two since the third season, so really wanted them to have a passionate makeup session.

I was also disappointed that we didn’t get to see more of Avery as a dad to Cadence. Those moments really were the sweetest.
