Original Release Date: Passengers premiered at the Regency Village Theater on December 14, 2016. Expanding to different markets on December 21, 2016.

Box Office Earnings: With a reported budget of a whopping $110 million, Passengers went on to collect $330.1 million worldwide. Over $100 million of this grand total came from domestic box offices, while the rest ($203.1 million) from international sales.

Critical Acclaim: At the Academy Awards, Passengers was nominated for Best Production Design and Best Original Score. Some of its many other nomination include Best Science Fiction, Best Actor (Chris Pratt), Best Actress, Best Music, Best Motion Poster, and many more. Despite the nominations, Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a very low score of 31% Rotten.

About the Role: Chris Pratt plays Jim Preston, a man who wakes up in space a lot earlier than the capsule he was secured in was supposed to open. Pratt is the only character we see for various scene, perfectly displaying fear and desperation.

Simply the Best: Passengers received mixed reviews from both critics and fans, but there’s no denying Chris Pratt delivered a great performances, whether you enjoyed the plot and story or not.
