#14 Iron Man 3 (2013)

Main Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau.

The events Tony Stark faces in Marvel’s The Avengers, changes the hero completely. He is now paranoid, no longer feeling safe outside of his suit and constantly planning for the worst. And can you blame him? Aliens attacked Earth! Iron Man 3 sees our hero go through huge character development.

The third (and possibly last, unfortunately) Iron Man movie was not what fans were expecting. Don’t get us wrong, it was definitely a pleasant surprise. But the trailers and teasers promoting the movie led fans to believe the tone of Iron Man 3 would be more serious than it actually was. Not to mention, Marvel fans were anticipating a darker villain. Instead, Iron Man 3 has plenty of laughs, although it does feature a different, more mature Stark, and the villain turns out to be a joke, literally. Most fans were able to see beyond that, though, and see Iron Man 3 for the great movie that it is.

So why are we ranking it so low? Only because Marvel has since released so many amazing installments that knock it out of the park, it’s difficult to decide!
