Supernatural showrunner Andrew Dabb has shot down the idea of an Arrow crossover. It’s not all doom and gloom though for those who want another crossover episode.

Supernatural Season 13 finally gave us a crossover many fans had dreamed of for a long time–and one that many others didn’t know they wanted. Yes, it was all about the Scooby-Doo crossover, which aired back in March. Some fans hoped that meant other crossovers would happen. In particular, they hoped the Winchesters would meet Oliver Queen.

Steven Amell shared that he would be up for a Supernatural and Arrow crossover. That’s not surprising since he, Jared Padalecki, and Jensen Ackles are good friends. However, just because he wants it to happen doesn’t mean he’s going to get it.

Showrunner Andrew Dabb has shot down the idea. According to Digital Spy, mixing genres just doesn’t work and it takes a lot to bring a crossover together. Scooby-Doo was special and possible because the same companies own the rights to both Supernatural and the Scooby Gang. While Warner Bros. owns both the Winchesters and Star City’s heroes, there are other facts at play that make a crossover too difficult.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom. Misha Collins has said that Dabb is looking for another crossover idea. It looks like “ScoobyNatural” was the success that everyone wanted it to be and has proven that good crossovers really do work out. Now it’s just coming up with a show that will work with the Winchesters.

Could I suggest The Walking Dead? After all, we have zombies rather than superheroes, which fits in with the types of things the Winchesters hunt. Plus, it would mean seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan back on the series. Could it explain what happened to John Winchester after he escaped Hell?
