The Gifted Season 2: Get ready for a hardened version of Caitlin Strucker
By Ryan Mekkes
According to a report, it’s not just the mutants who are going to be having all the fun in the upcoming season of The Gifted — Caitlin Strucker is going to transform into a menace of her own.
Caitlin Strucker is getting a transformation in The Gifted Season 2. And looking back to the end of season 1, when her son, Andy, walked away from his family in order to join Polaris and the Hellfire club, it all makes sense. According to the TVLine report, she did not take well to the events that took place last season and has transformed those emotions into intense physical training.
The report also mentions that her mental state will be altered, as well, to the point of being “hardened.” This will be a huge change for her, as up to this point she has been known for her soft nature and unity-focused mentality.

In many ways, she and her husband, Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer), have been the voice of reason throughout the ups and downs the mutant underground has faced thus far. They have brought a sense of mature, adultlike wisdom to the young group — but those days might be quickly coming to an end.
The already hostile world we were introduced to in The Gifted season 1 already seemed like it couldn’t get much worse, but things will reportedly be much worse in season 2. The question is, will Catilin and Reed Strucker go full-blown Walking Dead and transform into monsters? Or will they retain some of their humanity?
We will begin to get the answers to those questions on Sept. 25. Are you ready for the return of The Gifted?
