How much of Magneto will we see in The Gifted season 2?

In a recent interview with Clevver news, Emma Dumont and Skyler Samuels revealed that we will be learning about the backgrounds of their respective characters, Polaris and the Frost sisters in season 2, which means one thing — a strong possibility of seeing Magneto in The Gifted.
Emma Dumont was about excited as can be in this interview, and it makes sense. She plays one of the most polarizing characters in the X-Men universe. But what of her father, Magneto? Last season on The Gifted we were all hoping that maybe we would get a glimpse of the metal manipulator himself, but it never came to fruition. But the wait may be over soon enough.
“This year we sort of get to delve into our childhoods and sort of how our parental figures affected us,” Dumont said. And what does that mean? It means that Magneto just might be making his way onto the show.

And if he does, it’s fair to speculate that other prominent figures from the X-Men universe could make appearances as well. A tie-in of storylines, after all, would be an awesome plot twist.
No, we don’t need it to become the X-Men show, but having cameos and appearances in a smart, selective, and tasteful sort of way would light the fireworks. Imagine, for example, if flashbacks filled in some of the blanks for us as to how the X-Men went about creating the mutant underground. That backstory would provide so much fodder for action-packed sequences.

Or imagine if some prominent mutants showed up from time to time to guide the underground. There are so many amazing ways this could go… but having Magneto involved would be an incredible start.
