5. Deadpool 2

Original Release Date: May 18, 2018

Box Office Earnings:  $125,507,153 (USA opening weekend), $318,266,882 (USA gross)

Critical Acclaim: So far, Deadpool 2 has been nominated for eight awards and has won two others. There is still plenty of time to win other awards due to the timing of the release of the movie.

About the Role: Brolin took on another Marvel villain. This time he was Cable, who is also known as Nathan Summers and he is coming back for X-Force. Cable has one thing in mind for this movie. He wants to get Russel, a.k.a. The Kid, but Wade Wilson doesn’t want him to.

There’s plenty of humor but also a hint of humanity and a decent backstory to feel something for the villain. Something about complex villains is alluring and Brolin always portrays them so well.

Simply the Best: When it comes to breaking the fourth wall, there no better movie than Deadpool. While the second installment didn’t have the same freshness to it, that wasn’t surprising since, well, it was a sequel. Deadpool was still funny, there was some good character development for his team, and Josh Brolin (once again) played an awesome villain.

What’s not to love about Deadpool 2?
