Big Brother update time may be needed following the August 22 episode of the show. Though a lot has taken place for the Big Brother 20 cast, producers held back a lot of footage.

This article contains a number of Big Brother spoilers, so only read ahead if you are a fan who wants to learn what happened after the Veto Competition this past week. The August 22 episode came to an end shortly after Brett Robinson won the Power of Veto. The answer to what happened at the Veto Meeting was kept a secret from CBS viewers. This Big Brother update will cover what else is going on in the BB20 house.

Sam and Scottie corner Faysal

Sam Bledsoe and Scottie Salton were both quite obvious in their attempts to convince Faysal Shafaat to put Haleigh Broucher on the block. It was a possible way of saving Scottie from getting evicted, even though it was one of those ideas that don’t usually make it very far. Faysal was never going to nominate the girl he spends most of his time with this summer. Faysal is also still convinced that getting Scottie out is a “big game move” this week.

Big Brother update: The hidden pawn

What wasn’t shown during the August 22 episode was that someone volunteered to go up on the block. In order to help the Level Six alliance, Kaycee Clark asked to be a pawn this week. This is what happened right after the Veto Competition and what ended up taking place. Faysal loved the idea, as this convinced him that he was now working with Kaycee to get Scottie out of the house. It’s true, but she has no intention to continue working with him after this Eviction Ceremony.

At the Veto Meeting, Brett Robinson took himself off the block, which had been the expectation all along. Then, according to the plan already in place, Faysal Shafaat used Kaycee Clark as the replacement nominee. It sealed the fate of Scottie Salton, who doesn’t have enough allies left in the BB20 house to keep from getting evicted. Queue JC Mounduix making fun of Faysal again in A Diary Room session.

To conclude this Big Brother update, Scottie Salton is doomed. No matter how interesting the closing of the August 22 episode may have looked on CBS, Faysal never seriously considered putting Haleigh on the block. The truth will come out during the August 23 episode, which begins at 9/8c on CBS.
