The definitive ranking of 90210 seasons from worst to best
By Reed Gaudens
In honor of the 10th anniversary of The CW’s 90210 reboot, it’s time to rank each season from worst to best. Which season ranks supreme?
As crazy as it might seem that Beverly Hills, 90210 will soon celebrate its 30th anniversary, it’s even crazier that the teen soap classic’s 2008 reboot turns the big 1-0 on Sept. 2. Somehow, a whole new generation that grew up watching West Bev’s best and brightest feels strangely old and weirdly nostalgic all over again. Where does the time go?
In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of 90210′s premiere, it’s high time (season 3, anyone?) to look back on each season and rank them by quality. Because even though the series lasted half as long as the original, some seasons were better than others. Seasons 2 and 3 were gold, but those college seasons? Much like the original series, those are a completely different story.
Before Annie, Naomi, Silver, and the whole crew were ruling the school, they were rubbing elbows with Kelly, Donna, and Brenda. The first season relied on nostalgia and post-O.C. teen drama sensibilities, which seemed to turn away viewers searching for a repeat of the 1990 phenomenon. But when the world stopped paying attention to the novelty of “reboot,” a relatively rare concept 10 years ago, 90210 turned itself into can’t-miss television.
Which season of 90210 stands above the rest? Here’s the definitive ranking of all five seasons from worst to best.
