2. The Dragon Prince

Releasing: September 14, 2018

Starring: Jack DeSena

Why it’s worth a watch: Keeping on the same trend as my last slide, it’s time to look at another animated show. Instead of a cartoon, this one is an anime entitled, The Dragon Prince.

If you’ve been on Twitter lately, then you probably know the show. For those who don’t, this is the description on Netflix: “An extraordinary discovery inspires two human princes and an elven assassin to team up on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.” It sounds it’s going to be a cool adventure show and keep with Netflix’s vibe of fantasy cartoons.

The selling point for the show is its creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond. Ehasz wrote and produced episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. As for Richmond, he was the director of a video game. It’s pretty easy to see why fans of Avatar are abuzz about this show.

The animation style is different but that’s just a small part of the show. What really matters is the content of The Dragon Prince. It looks like it’s going to be an adventurous and exciting fantasy anime. What more could fans of Avatar really ask for? Well, besides a better live-action film.
