CW’s first-look stills from Riverdale Season 3 Premiere: Uh-Oh! Trouble!

CW has released pictures from Riverdale’s Season 3 Premiere, and it doesn’t look pretty. Archer is on trial for a murder, which he was framed for.
Riverdale has become very popular among teens, breaking ground with introducing gay characters, creating shipping names (Cheryl and Toni) “Choni”, “Bughead”, “Beronica”, “Barchie”, “Varchie”, and tons more, along with winning many awards such as the Teen Choice Awards.
CW has released the trailer for Riverdale Season 3 at 2018 Comic Con in June. The trailer looks interesting ending with Betty seeing Tiera Skovbye’s Polly (Betty’s sister) and her mother Alice played by Mädchen Amick holding the twins above the bonfire during a cult ritual.
I assume we’ll be having a cult storyline in Riverdale Season 3.
It’ll be interesting to see the storyline between Cheryl and Toni grow and see how powerful their relationship gets. It’s nice to see both bisexual and gay relationships be represented. Teens will feel they have a voice now and are being represented, which is incredible. Especially as Vanessa Morgan has been upped as a series regular for Season 3. Charles Melton was promoted to a regular as well.

If you remember, they left us off at the end of Season 2 where Archie gets arrested by Hiram as he was framed for murdering Cassidy, as well as Archie telling him he being taken advantage of him. The dangerous thing of all this? Hiram won’t be the only big villain in Season 3. *Gulp* That doesn’t sound good.
As you see from the below picture, Archie is on trial for the murder of Cassidy Bullock, but he’s being falsely accused, as he’s being framed. In the trailer, he says it was the worst summer ever and wants to have normal days now.
I wonder how the trial procedure was, although executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Tim Stack of Ew.com:
"“It’s Labor Day weekend and it’s closing arguments for Archie’s trial,” explains executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “His fate hangs in the balance, and in the premiere episode, the outcome of the trial will be revealed.”"

Hopefully, Archie gets out safe. Regardless, let’s not get too comfortable, as we know, Riverdale gets dark and there is plenty of drama throughout the episodes. It’s also doing what its best for: Not being afraid to break ground with new storylines.
