Michael meets up with the angel Jo when Supernatural season 14 starts. Will they team up or be at war?

When Supernatural returns next month, fans are going to follow Dean’s new journey. Now that Michael possesses him, there will be a whole new dynamic on the show.

First, Dean is not spending time with Sam and Castiel. Michael also has his own agenda, which is so far removed from what Dean wants out of life. The Dean we are going to see will be a new one. But Michael is still assessing this new world, one where the angels aren’t in a constant war.

It seems one of the first angels Michael will meet is Sister Jo (Danneel Ackles) – though there aren’t many angels left anyway. According to EW, who spoke to Jensen Ackles:

"“He utilizes that meeting as an assessment of the greater realm of angels that exists,” Ackles says. “And she’s not necessarily the best representation of the angels that are out there, because she kind of has her own agenda and is a bit rogue. So his meeting with her does prove to be a little different than anticipated, which makes for an interesting dynamic.”"

But I think Jo is exactly the perfect representation of the angels in this prime universe. As Dean likes to say, angels are kind of d*cks. Other than Castiel, even though he’s had his fair share of selfish moments, angels have caused nothing but problems. In Supernatural, angels and demons are just two sides of the same coin but only the demons admit their flaws.

Michael meeting Jo will give him a sense of exactly what the angels are like, especially after they lost their wings. It really is every angel for themselves in the new world and Jo is no different. She’s just a survivor.

Now Michael must decide if he wants to team up with the new angels or kill them, according to the EW article. I vote on the side of teaming up with the angels, but mostly Jo. She’s self-reliant, street smart, and has a hunger for power.

By teaming up with her, Michael will get what wants. After all, Jo helped Lucifer sit in God’s chair in Heaven with angels bowing to him. Whoever thought they would see that happen?

Either way, Supernatural’s Season 14 will be an interesting one.
