Rick and Jenna have a baby on the way

After a passionate kiss between Jenna and Lila, Jenna abruptly pulls away to reveal that she is pregnant. Rick is then pulled in a meeting with Stanton to discuss their housing project. Stanton realizes that he would like Jenna to be present at the meeting as well since the housing project is her brainchild.

After deliberating for a few minutes, Stanton agreed to fund the new development. To celebrate the deal, Stanton brought in a human sacrifice and asked Rick and Jenna if they would like to purge. Jane witnesses a murder

The good news is that Jane’s company secured an important deal in Japan. However, Jane’s boss was upset that Jane did not tell him right away about the deal and berated her in front of her team. Jane assumed that her assassin had taken her boss out so therefore, she did not call him.

While the rest of the office decided to celebrate, one member of the team, Mark, told Jane that he was happy to work for her and did not care if he or Alison won the promotion. However, even though Alison knew she was going to get the promotion, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Alison lured Mark away from the safe zone and murdered him with a pair of scissors. Jane witnessed the end of the murder and began to question her own morals.

Miguel knows where Penelope is, but retrieving her will not be easy

When he last saw Miguel, he was begging Pete the Cop to help him find his sister, but Pete turned him down. In this episode, Pete finally helps Miguel after learning about the car Miguel won in the Gauntlet. After learning about the location of the blue bus, Miguel secures a ride from journalists who are documenting the Purge.

On his way to the bus, Miguel encounters a group of nuns, who direct him towards the blue bus. Miguel finally reaches the bus and interrogates Good Leader Tavis, who reveals that the nuns have Penelope.

This week’s flashback involved Miguel and Penelope as children on Staten Island. Miguel and Penelope’s parents agreed to allow the Purge in their area in exchange for a government stipend. On Purge Night, that deal was never going to happen as intruders rushed the children’s house and killed both parents, which makes them an OMF (Original Martyr Family). This murder is a correlation to what happened in the movie, The First Purge.

Penelope is sacrificed to the nuns

After witnessing the murder of her friend, Penelope and the rest of the cult are nervous about their upcoming sacrifice. Good Leader Tavis notices this and asks Penelope to speak to the rest of the group to comfort their fears and reassures them that the pain will end after their sacrifice. Finally, Good Leader Tavis selects Penelope to be sacrificed, where she is offered to the nuns, who blindfold her and take her away in their van.
