More from Entertainment

Some of these are interesting. Station 19 was moved from the midseason to the fall lineup and I expected it to get a season order to reflect that. However, I’m not sure of the conversations behind the scenes.

How to Get Away with Murder is nothing to worry about. As many fans will know, season four also had just 15 episodes and that worked! The same applies to The Good Doctor. Freddie Highmore’s contract is only for 18 episodes and the show can’t run longer without Dr. Shaun Murphy in the driving seat.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has been moved to a spring/summer lineup, which explains the episode order. There were fears that the show would be canceled, so this may be to tie up some lose ends.

You’ll notice that not all shows this year are listed. That’s because not all shows have season orders announced. This will likely come closer to the date of the final episodes. But it is possible to make some guesses and assumptions based on when the show are premiering, whether they’re freshman shows, and how long they ran for last season.

  • Child Support: 6 episodes based on last year
  • Fresh Off the Boat: 18-20 episodes based on previous seasons
  • Speechless: 18 episodes based on previous seasons
  • The Rookie

: 13 episodes as it’s a fall freshman series but I see this one getting boosted to the usual 22 episodes per season.
