Fear The Walking Dead recap, season 4 episode 15: I Lose People

On the latest Fear The Walking Dead, Morgan and the others fond themselves in dire straits. Stuck on the hospital roof, surrounded by walkers, the situation appeared grim for them all. Luckily, a bit of teamwork helped them survive.

Despite being backed into a corner, Morgan’s group kept the hope alive while they figured out how to get out of their predicament on Fear the Walking Dead. Morgan, however, was ready to accept his fate. He felt responsible for trapping the others on the rooftop without a way down and figured it was only right for him to save them — even if it costs him his life.

In an attempt to get them off the roof, Morgan creates a distraction with a nearby car. He drops a walker directly onto the car’s hood, causing the alarm to go off. The sound works, giving June and the others enough time to get out of the building.

Once outside, June tells Morgan that they won’t leave him behind but he insists. June keeps trying to talk Morgan down but he’s dead set on staying with Jim. June and the others leave shortly after to reunite with John, Alicia, Victor, and Charlie.

On the roof, Morgan has a brief discussion with Jim as he continues to sulk over his unfortunate situation. Having found out that he was bitten by a walker, Jim deals with the grief in his own obnoxious way. Morgan does everything possible to comfort Jim but it’s no good. Jim’s stubbornness makes it impossible for Morgan to reach him, or so we think.

While they’re in mid-conversation, a familiar voice is heard on the radio. Morgan answers then another voice pops up, then another, and another. All of his friends have reunited to rescue Morgan. He attempts to dissuade them from their plan, but they don’t give Morgan a say in the matter.

When Morgan realizes that he can’t refuse his friends help any longer, he goes along with their plan. It consists of using a nearby firetruck’s ladder. They manage to raise the elevated ladder, but it’s a few stories short. Morgan has to jump down to it and the leap almost costs him his life. The good news is that Morgan’s will to survive is strong.

With Morgan off the roof, the group has another problem to face: walkers. They’re standing on top of the firetruck with no clear way down. In response, Morgan suggests he cut a path through them. None of Morgan’s friends are ready to say goodbye, especially after they struggled to get him off the roof, but they have no other option.

Just when Morgan is about to make the leap down, Jim’s voice comes on the radio. He has one last message to the group and does the only heroic thing he can think of. Jim jumps off the building directly onto a nearby car. The collision causes the car alarm to trigger and the sound draws the walkers away. Unfortunately, Jim’s last act of kindness leaves the group a man down.

Back on the road and ready to venture back home, Morgan tells his friends it’s time to return to Virginia. But first, they need to rescue Althea. The problem is Martha has freed herself and has her sights set on Al. Will the season finale end with Al’s death? Find out in next week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead.
