Westworld is scheduled to come back in mid-2019. Until then, what can we expect from newcomer Aaron Paul in Season 3?

Ever since the finale of Westworld Season 2 back in June, fans have been itching for immediate news regarding season 3 and its release date. While HBO is far from ready to announce the new season release date, rumored to be in mid-2019, the exciting news hyping everyone up already is the addition of three-time Emmy winner Aaron Paul to the sci-fi drama.

Aaron Paul is famous for his award-winning role as Jesse Pinkman in the critically acclaimed drama, Breaking Bad. After five seasons with AMC’s meth-making drama, Paul starred in the short-lived Hulu original series The Path alongside Michelle Monaghan.

Aaron Paul has always managed to give breakthrough performances and with Westworld, I can imagine it won’t be any different. As season 2 ended with Dolores finally escaping the Park as a host, fans can expect initial interaction with Aaron Paul right off the gate. The question is whether it will be in the form of an actual human or host. Regardless, many fans are predicting his character will become a major influence in what Dolores plans are now that she is out in the real world.

Showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are excited to have new talent join season 3, but besides announcements of casting, they’re lips are shut. This is the only thing they had to say about the upcoming season, via GamesRadar.

"“I think it’s a radical shift. What’s compelling and appealing about these characters is that they’re not human. As we said in the show, humans are bound by the same loops the Hosts are, in some ways even smaller. You couldn’t expect human characters to withstand and survive the kind of story that we’re telling. The Hosts have a different version or mortality, a different outlook. I Think clearly with Dolores, as she’s laid out, there is a longer view here, a larger set of goals. They’re existential. They span eons. And that’s a fascinating level of story to engage in.”"

Until then, you can see Aaron Paul, alongside Octavia Spencer in Apple’s new anthology series – Are You Sleeping? scheduled to be released in 2019.
