Season 6

Who would have ever thought that Brooke’s confidence could have been knocked. Actually, her character was one of the best developed, starting off quite shallow but searching for something more in her life.

In this season of One Tree Hill, she realized that she actually wanted to be a mom and took in Sam to help her. Of course, that messed up the plans of fostering and adoption, but she put Sam before herself and that was an important moment.

The season also saw Brooke attacked in her own store. That led to fears and trauma, which she needed to overcome through a series of episodes. Embarrassed and ashamed at first, she hid everything from her friends, but ultimately, they rallied around her.

One of the most shocking events to happen in Tree Hill was the sudden death of Quentin. This just felt off but there was also a sense of realism–sometimes death comes without any warning. What we got, in the end, was a beautiful look at a town coming together. The school played with only four team members for the rest of the season, refusing to replace Quentin’s spot and his jersey was retired with Nathan’s and Coach Durham’s.

My reason for this not being higher? It was the last season with Peyton and Lucas. I wanted more!
