Supernatural Season 4, Episode 6 has some of the funniest lines in the whole series. It’s an episode that stands out for this, so cutting this down to six lines was hard. Here I go!

Supernatural Season 4, Episode 6 is one of those episodes that stands out for many. There are numerous funny moments that have stood the test of time. Who doesn’t love Dean screaming as the cat jumps out of the locker?

Cutting this down to five lines like I usually do was impossible. Trying to only choose six was difficult. I could have possibly extended it to 10 but I decided to give myself the challenge.

Here are my six favorite lines from “Yellow Fever.” Let me know if you agree with them.

Sam, I’m not gonna make a left-hand turn into oncoming traffic. I’m not suicidal… Did I just say that? That was kind of weird.

This was that first sign that Dean was really infected with the ghost sickness. At this point, we didn’t really understand what it was or why it was affecting him. All we knew is he was scared and acting completely out of character. This line summed it up, as he’s never had issues driving before.

All three victims used fear as a weapon, and now this disease is just returning the favor.

More from Supernatural

This won’t be an initial favorite for many. It’s more of a plot point, but after the episode ,Eric Kripke confirmed something that makes this line stand out more. Kripke confirmed that it was the using fear as a weapon that caused the ghost sickness in Dean and that it was foreshadowing for Supernatural Season 4, Episode 10. It makes it extra special in my book.

Oh, I’m not carrying that. It could go off. I’ll man the flashlight.

I don’t think I stopped laughing the first time I watched Supernatural Season 4, Episode 6. Jensen Ackles has some of the best comedic timing on the show and his facial expressions during this scene were hilarious. I can still picture him manning the flashlight.

I mean, come on, we hunt monsters! What the hell?! I mean, normal people, they see a monster, and they run. But not us, no, no, no, we — we search out things that want to kill us. Yeah? Huh? Or eat us! You know who does that? Crazy people! We…are insane!

There is much more to this line, but I had to cut it down. Quite honestly, it’s the one that stands out the most for everyone, I believe. Dean goes on a huge rant about how they’re crazy because they hunt monsters and ghosts. Then he turns the table on their flaws, such as Dean listening to the same five albums and Sam’s smelly farts. It’s brilliant and ingenious.

(Since before you were born)

This is in brackets because it’s actually spoken in Japanese. Bobby shares that he speaks Japanese fluently and it’s just another layer of the character. Of course Bobby speaks Japanese! However, there’s more to this line, which makes it super special and is why it’s one of my favorites. Jim Beaver is the one that speaks Japanese fluently and suggested they add it in for his character.

What’s the matter, Dean? Don’t you remember all the fun you had down there? You do remember. 4 months is like 40 years in hell. Like doggy years. And you remember every second.

Bringing Lilith in the episode was perfect. We got to see Dean’s real fear and got the confirmation of what we really believed: he did remember Hell. This was also an interesting way to bring facts about Hell into the episode. I can still picture Lilith torturing him in the hallucination and the “Burn! Burn!” line.
