Eric Kripke continues to take the TV world by storm. His latest project in The Boys and now it’s got its first poster.

If you haven’t heard yet, Eric Kripke has directed his first TV show since Supernatural Season 4’s “Lucifer Rising.” This time it’s for the Amazon Studios series The Boy, which is based on the comic series of the same name. He’s also involved as an EP and in other capacities.

Yes, the man who has just had a feature film released (he wrote The House with a Clock in Its Walls) has yet another project. Supernatural‘s creator has a brilliant mind and continues to take the world by storm. It’s exciting to see him in the superhero genre with a twist.

More from Supernatural

The Boys is about a group of non-powered superheroes. They’re just a group of vigilantes that come together with one goal in mind: stop the superheroes who have lost their way find the right path again. After all, in this world, the heroes are giving into the fame and temptation of celebrity fandom.

It’s more than just your usual superhero. This is something Kripke and the cast of the series will discuss at The Boys panel during New York Comic-Con 2018.

Watch 1000s of TV shows and movies with Amazon Prime

Ahead of the weekend (which is in two weekends, guys!), The Boys has released its first-look poster of the series. It harkens back to the comics, suggesting that this is going to be a close adaptation. While Kripke has had some fun with storylines and history in Supernatural, he’s also created Timeless and shown that he can stick to the real events with a twist that works for TV. There’s a lot of hope for The Boys.

The Amazon Prime Original will be out sometime in 2019. Right now, there isn’t a set date but I’ll bring that to you once we know.

Next. Eric Kripke's latest series, Timeless, canceled. dark
