Greatest Grey’s Anatomy Doctors – No. 4: Dr. Mark Sloan

Time for a go at McSteamy now….

Dr. Mark Sloan, a.k.a McSteamy, pulled an Addison. He came in and started immediately rubbing us the wrong way, but after a short while could do no wrong. A Plastic God, his character was handled really well. Normally, when you hear “plastic surgery,” you think tummy tucks, boob jobs and other cosmetic treatments. Dr. Mark Sloan showed us that there is a need for the field of plastics, almost as much as the need for, say, heart surgery. While some may want plastics treatment for shallow, even more people legitimately need it. Burn victims were a constant reminder of that throughout Grey’s Anatomy, and of course, who can forget the tree man?

Of course, we can’t talk about Mark without talking about Lexi and their emotional goodbye after the plane crash. While Mark was labeled a player, it was clear that Lexi was the love of his life, and to see her go the way she did was nothing but heartbreaking for the man.

Yet again, Mark is another character whom we initially despise but come to love, even after they’re gone.
