Supernatural has a lot to tackle in Season 14, and here are six questions we want answered as we get closer to the premiere.

Supernatural’s 14th season kicks off in just a few weeks. This season starts with the dynamic of the group vastly changed as Dean has been possessed by Michael, and the archangel has no plans of letting go despite promises.

After 14 seasons, Supernatural still keeps us riveted – even if there were a few wonky seasons in the middle. But the writers have gone back to the origin of the show, taking Dean as Michael’s one true vessel and using that as a catalyst for season 14. Supernatural fans are in for a wild ride.

With the first promo airing for Supernatural’s next season, we are left with so many questions for next season – and some that will need to be addressed. Here are six questions we have ahead of Supernatural Season 14:

Will Sam allow Dean to be sacrificed?

In the Season 14 trailer,  Sam, Jack, and the others are aware that Michael needs to end. He helped them take down Lucifer whose powers were expanded when he took Jack’s, and the only way to take down Lucifer – as Dean saw it – was to allow Michael to use his vessel to finally put an end to the devil.

But Michael also hates the humans and plans on eradicating them just as he did in his own universe. The Winchesters and crew always save the world, so now Michael is their responsibility. Does that mean death? For Michael, it does. But will Dean have to die in order to kill Michael?

In the trailer, Jack says if Dean has to die in the process, so be it. But it’s not that easy, especially when Sam is involved. While there have been some shaky moments over the years, the brothers have done everything to save each other.

Dean tricked Sam in allowing an angel inside him to heal him from catastrophic wounds. They killed Death instead and unleashed Amara on the world. At the end of the day, the brothers will choose each other. It’s their brotherly bond that has gotten them this far even if they have both died a whole lot already.

I hope Jack has another plan because the first priority will be to save Dean without killing him. Even if Sam hesitantly agrees to it, it will never take. Sam will choose Dean.

Jack and Dean have had a rocky relationship from the start. I wonder if he would feel the same way if it was Sam they needed to rescue.
