What will happen to Hell?

Hell is a mess.

Crowley is gone. Lucifer is gone. There are no real contenders to take over as the King of Hell, and it seems Sam is going to make sure it stays that way.

In the Supernatural Season 14 trailer, a disheveled Sam proclaims there will be no king of Hell in his most booming voice. But what if there was a queen of Hell?

A few seasons ago, I could see Rowena using this opportunity to swoop in to get the demons and other baddies to do her bidding. While she and Fergus didn’t get along, she was secretly proud of him for taking over as the king of Hell.

Now that the throne is open, it is ripe for Rowena. Though her character has changed a bit over the course of last season. After “dying” at the hands of Lucifer when he burnt her to a crisp, she softened a bit. She could have left the boys in the alternate universe and not helped them in their mission to get Mary and Jack, but she stuck around as guilt got the better of her.

That’s very unlike the Rowena we had gotten to know in previous seasons. But maybe this is how her death is fulfilled – at the hands of Sam Winchester.

All hail the Queen!
