With two upcoming shows, a feature film and a successful show currently airing, Loren Bouchard is slowly taking over the world of TV animation.

Loren Bouchard has been an underrated name in the animation world. Finally, people are starting to recognize his talent and his knack for producing great shows. His most popular is undoubtedly Bob’s Burgers but Bouchard has created and worked on multiple ones.

Earlier this year, Apple tapped him for a new show, Central Park. Additionally, he and the Bob’s Burgers crew began work on a feature film. That is already a decent amount of projects but Deadline just announced another show Bouchard will working on.

Like Bob’s Burgers, the show is a Fox production and is entitled The Great North. As per Deadline’s article, the premise is as follows:

"“The Great North follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family as single dad Beef does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close, especially as the artistic dreams of his only daughter Judy lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall.”"

It seems to have a similar appeal to Bob’s Burgers but still a good bit different.

Some details have also been released, most notably the voice cast. There are multiple well-known actors including Nick Offerman, Megan Mullaly, Jenny Slate, and Will Forte. With such a talented voice cast attached, Fox is already banking on the show being successful. Definitely a good sign for Bouchard.

What really separates it from other show is the setting. There aren’t a lot of live-action and definitely, very few animated shows set in Alaska. Using Alaska as a setting is exciting as there’s a lot they can do with it but also challenging. Alaska is a tough state to try and get right so they have their work cut out for them.

Despite the challenges, this is another exciting step for Bouchard. He has a unique style and brand of humor so it’s awesome to see companies appreciating it. As long as the show doesn’t eclipse Bob’s Burgers, then fans will be clamoring to get more from Bouchard and to see The Great North.

Maybe The Great North will finally fill the gap in Fox’s Sunday night line-up. They can go back to the animation domination era. For years, Fox has struggled to find a solid animation lineup. Most notably, they’ve canceled some beloved shows and still haven’t found a replacement.

Next. Bob’s Burgers: Loren Bouchard’s new show an exciting step. dark

No matter what Fox decides, Loren Bouchard has worked hard and deserves all the success he’s getting. Hopefully, The Great North is every bit as successful as Bob’s Burgers. With Fox shifting their focus to animated shows, there’s no telling what Bouchard will do next.

What do you think about Bouchard’s new show, The Great North? Will you tune in when it airs on Fox?
