A Big Brother 20 recap is necessary following the exciting season finale of the show. Two really successful members of the BB20 cast were placed in front of the jury to decide who would win the $500,000 prize.

As CBS viewers saw during the September 26 episode of the show, Kaycee Clark is the Big Brother 20 winner. She garnered a 5-4 vote from the BB20 jury and took home the $500,000 this summer. Tyler Crispen finished in second place, earning $50,000 for his performance. But did the jury get it right with their votes? Did Kaycee deserve to win the summer 2018 season more than Tyler did?

Kaycee Clark vs Tyler Crispen

Let’s get right to the point. Both Kaycee and Tyler deserved to win this season. They both did enough to become the Big Brother 20 winner and neither one should be frustrated that the other houseguest beat them during the finale. It’s certainly more difficult for Tyler to accept that he lost after dominating the game all season, but this was the only other person who deserved to be in the final two next to him.

Who played the game best during Big Brother 20?

To weigh the value of who played the game best, there is no need to look further than the final result. Kaycee won this season, not just because she was successful in competitions and formed the right alliances, but also because she was better at jury management. She didn’t end the season with any enemies in the jury, which cannot be said for Tyler.

A good argument can be made that Tyler deserved to win this season more than Kaycee because he was running the Level Six alliance for so long. From that standpoint, it could be argued that he blew his chance at the $500,000 this summer. Had he simply kept Sam Bledsoe as a close friend and not talked down to her at the end, she would have voted for him. Within the BB20 jury votes, Tyler also found a way to turn Scottie Salton against him.

To answer the opening question, about whether or not the right person became the BB20 winner, the answer seems to be yes. Yes, Kaycee used Tyler as a shield. But it’s the same thing that Tyler did (and admitted to doing) with Bayleigh Dayton. No matter how the Big Brother 20 season ended up turning out, Kaycee Clark and Tyler Crispen played the game very well. If producers put together another All-Stars cast, they should invite both Kaycee and Tyler to participate in it.
