Avengers 4 rumored movie title is Annihilation
By Tony Smejek
A rumor reveals that the Avengers 4 movie is entitled Annihilation, a title by the same name of the Keith Giffen run of comics.
Avengers 4 fans have been pontificating the Russo brothers’ photographic hint online regarding the next title to the Marvel movie. A rumor coming from MCU Cosmic, citing “a source who is most reliable”, says that the title to the flick is Avengers: Annihilation.
There is a comic book by the same name by Keith Giffen and in it stars Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War was likely inspired by the Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity series of comics, the latter of which brought aboard the Black Order.
The sinister following of the quartet didn’t have much focus on their arcs/origins other than the fact they drank the Kool-Aid of Thanos. So what are the chances the Giffen comic will add more meat on the bones of the MCU other than his title?

The Russo brothers did claim they would not be making direct adaptations of the comics, according to ComicBook.com. If it’s confirmed, it would probably be up in the air how this Annihilation title would correlate with the comic of the same name. “Direct” being the operative word.
"“Our job as we said a million times is to tell the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not to do direct adaptations of the comics because we’re comic book fans”."
The Avengers 4 title hint by the Russo brothers’ Twitter post showed a variety of objects in the photo. MCU Cosmic superimposed “Avengers: Annihilation” over the picture easel in the foreground and a ladder in the background.
Going back to the Annihilation comic, there is a character of significance by the name of Annihilus, lord of the Negative Zone. In it, the Marvel characters battle this very being and Drax the Destroyer kills the Mad Titan. There was a theory that Thanos may not even be the true villain, and other villainous characters were suggested in this theory.
An Avengers 4 spoiler already revealed? Don’t forget, it was Drax who had said he’s gunning to kill Thanos at the conclusion of the first Guardians of the Galaxy. Perhaps he’ll get his destiny fulfilled?
So do you think the Avengers: Annihilation title will be confirmed by either the Russo Brothers and/or Marvel Studios. If so, then when?
