Charmed Season 1, Episode 3 preview: The Harbinger of Hell attacks

The Harbinger of Hell found its body last week and now the sisters need to vanquish it. Here’s what you can expect from and how to watch Charmed Season 1, Episode 3.

Charmed Season 1, Episode 3 gives us the Harbinger of Hell in all its glory. At least, that’s what it looks like by the trailer. Here’s what to expect in the episode and how to watch it live online.

I’ll be honest, the Harbinger of Hell looks a little like Kayako from The Grudge, but Charmed wouldn’t be the first show to use the Japanese vengeful spirit as inspiration for a monster. Anyone remember Supernatural‘s Bloody Mary, who was just like Samara in The Ring? One good thing for Charmed is this Harbinger certainly looks scary.

The sisters will need to vanquish it if they want to take steps to stop the apocalypse. For fans who loved the original series about saving innocents first and then stopping demons, the new series is definitely nothing like that. It’s all about saving the world one demon or monster at a time, a little like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural. You know, the typical CW show for today’s world.

Meanwhile, there’s a Halloween focus for the episode. Maggie offers her house to throw the Halloween bash. Of course, she wants a normal life and she should be able to have one at a certain level, but inviting a bunch of innocents to her house? Well, that’s going to prove a little short-sighted.

However, it doesnt’ look like Maggie is trying to just get a normal life. She wants balance and that’s a mature decision. Honestly, if Piper Halliwell had strived for balance instead of a normal life, I would have been happier with her attitude in later seasons for Classic Charmed.

Meanwhile, Macy discovers a death in her lab and turns to her sisters for help. Could it be the hands of the Harbinger or is there another demon out there?

As for Mel, she’s about to get a telling off for using her magic irresponsibly. I can already hear some moaning since it’s a man telling a woman off, but quite honestly, Harry is their guide and is the one who would understand more about magic and the dangers of it. Mel is a little too eager with her powers at times already. She’s not going to like a man telling her what to do though, so there may be some arguments that play out because of this.

"HALLOWEEN PARTY TIME — With the instruction of Harry (Rupert Evans), the sisters are put through witch lessons, so they are able to properly practice their magic.
