The Fosters spin-off, Good Trouble, is nearing and we have put below what we know so far about the new show.

As the days fly by and the premiere of The Fosters spin-off, Good Trouble, is nearing, we have some information on what we will see happen in Good Trouble. As we all know, The Fosters ended on June 6, 2018, and fans weren’t ready to say goodbye yet. Lucky for fans, the production team was already working on a spin-off prior to The Fosters series finale.

Good Trouble will be centered on Maia Mitchell (Callie) and Cierra Ramirez (Mariana) entering adulthood, paying bills, and taking care of themselves.

What makes Good Trouble worth watching? It has the same team that was behind The Fosters, Bradley Bredeweg, Peter Paige, and Joanna Johnson, and that makes it very assuring that Good Trouble will be just as good as The Fosters, if not better. That’s why I’m beyond happy about this.

Check out the official synopsis below via Deadline:

More from Teen Dramas

"“[Good Trouble] follows Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young-adult lives in Los Angeles. After moving to the Coterie in downtown L.A., Callie and Mariana realize that living on their own is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Faced with new neighbors, new challenges and, of course, new romances, the sisters must depend on one another to navigate the City of Angels.”"

We know Callie will be a law clerk which is perfect for her, especially as Callie expressed interest in studying law in the last season of The Fosters and she kicked butt at it. She also always wanted everyone happy and never gave herself a few minutes for anything.

Mariana will get a job at a tech start-up as an engineer, and I feel she would excel in that job. I say that because, starting in season 2 of The Fosters, Mariana was amazing in STEM class. In season 4, she began taking Jesus’ ADHD pills so she could stay awake to finish the robotics assignments.

Even though that wasn’t a smart idea of Mariana to do, she had that mindset that didn’t let anything stop her from doing what she wanted to do. As you see, Mariana strove at STEM and robotics, and I could see her excelling at her job on Good Trouble.

Many of your favorite cast membrs from The Fosters will be making appearances on Good Trouble: Stef and Lena, Jude, Jesus, and Brandon. Jamie, who we’ve seen in the three-part-finale on The Fosters will be reprising his role on Good Trouble, as well. Callie and Jamie kissed while they were in Turks & Caicos for Brandon and Eliza’s wedding. I don’t like Jamie at all, just saying. I ship Callie and Brandon.

Cierra stated a few weeks ago that she wanted to continue The Fosters reunions, and that gave me goosebumps. It’s pretty clear the actors are still fond of each other, and they are family. That makes the new show even more worth watching, and it will show onscreen.

It will also be easier to reunite them, as Callie and Mariana won’t be far from the family so they could always visit each other. The Fosters location was in San Diego, and Callie and Mariana moved to Los Angeles to work there. It’s a two-hour car drive from San Diego to Los Angeles.

We know that Good Trouble will be a lot edgier and sexier. But that won’t take away from the heart The Fosters had. As I stated above, it’s the same team that was behind The Fosters, so I have no doubt in my mind that the team will deliver once again.

The Fosters had so much heart, and it showed when you watched the show. There was a lot of emotion, drama, humor, and storylines such as LGBT and pregnancy. I think it would be appropriate if Good Trouble was edgier and sexier as Mariana and Callie are now adults.

I’m very excited to see how the storylines will go. Good Trouble has so much potential for all the characters. Also, don’t mind me, but I still want Brandon and Callie together.
