Is there any hope for Clay and Stella in SEAL Team?
Stella broke up for Clay before his latest mission in SEAL Team last week. Is there any hope for this young couple?
One thing SEAL Team delivered from the start was a group of individuals at different stages of their relationships. Clay and Stella gave us the couple that had just started dating and it certainly hasn’t been easy for them. Stella has always made it clear that she’s scared something will happen to Clay and that fear may just break them apart.
Clay left for a mission in the latest episode a single man. Stella made the choice to break up with him. She didn’t want to do this at this point, but he needed to know what was going on in her mind. If his head is still with her, it’s not on the mission, so it makes sense.

Stella made it clear that she struggles to sleep without him around. The loss of Adam and seeing the bruise on his chest from the rounds that he took in Mumbai have certainly sent her anxiety through the roof. Is there any hope of the two getting back together?

One thing that Stella needs is one of the other wives to help her through the deployment and the operations periods. Ray’s wife would be an excellent person for Stella to call round to. Both their men are part of Bravo Team and Ray’s wife has been through this stage. She’s been the one there for other wives when their husbands haven’t made it back and feared for her husband’s safety.

I don’t think we’ll see that, though. Keeping Stella isolated allows her fears to grow. Stella has already said that her civilian friends wouldn’t have come together for the loss of one of their own in the way everyone did after Alana’s death. She can’t talk to her friends and we haven’t seen her interact much with the other wives and girlfriends. I don’t see that changing any time soon.
Now, I adore Alona Tal and would love for her to stick with SEAL Team. I’ve wanted the show to expand on her fears more because they are realistic and she’s the first one we’ve seen physically with these fears. The relationship is new, so it’s not surprising that the fear is more intense for her.

While the others have the same fears, they’ve been through multiple deployments already. It gets slightly easier or they find ways to cope with it. Stella hasn’t had the chance to do that and unless she does, we’re not going to see Clay and Stella ride off in the sunset in the distance future.
