Mary Poppins Returns is one of the most anticipated movies of December. One of the reasons for this is definitely the soundtrack! What songs will be featured in the movie?

While some moviegoers are complaining about all the reboots, spin-offs, and remakes at the movies lately, I’m rejoicing! Mary Poppins is the latest to get the sequel treatment and I believe that’s a good thing.

If there’s a clever and fresh way to bring a movie back, why not? It’s all about nostalgia nowadays and bringing old characters back is always nice. Not to mention, this gives new eyes a chance to meet iconic characters and movies we fell in love with as children. If you ask me, it’s time Mary Poppins greets a new audience.

The musical sequel Mary Poppins Returns is loved by many for several reasons. One of those reasons is the catchy tunes and lovely lyrics to some of Disney’s most popular songs. The soundtrack is set to include original songs from the movie written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

As you may already know, the original movie was nominated for 13 Academy Awards and won five — Best Actress (Julie Andrews), Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Score, and Best Original Song for “Chim Chim Cher-ee.” One of the nominations also includes Best Picture.
