The newest trailer for Captain Marvel dropped during ESPN’s Monday Night Football and gave fans some tantalizing moments of superhero action featuring the female heroine.

This is the latest trailer for Captain Marvel, which will be released only a few months before Avengers 4. The first trailer debuted Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, a female superhero who crash lands on Earth after being gone for years. Captain Marvel sets itself apart from the rest of the MCU films by being a prequel movie instead of an origin story driven film. The film is being set in the 90s, prior to the events of Phase One.

In this new trailer, we see more of the hilarious moment Captain Marvel appears to fight an old lady, who is strong enough to fight back. Truth be told, the old lady is actually a Skrull, who can shapeshift into anyone. We also see her begin to remember more moments of her past life on Earth before she was Kree and superhero combined together.

Captain Marvel is now the 21st film from Disney and Marvel Studios. Captain Marvel has been described as the most powerful superhero in the MCU. Captain Marvel originally debuted in the Marvel Super-Heroes No. 12, comic released December 1967. Larson’s character Carol Danvers was introduced in the Marvel Super-Heroes issue No. 13, released in March 1968.

Based on the outcome of Avengers Infinity War and the post-credit scene, it’s probable that Marvel has written some aspects of the events of Infinity War into Captain Marvel. Larson stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, and Clark Gregg.

Both Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg are reprising their roles and, they are being de-aged through CG effects to make them look younger, similar to what happened to Robert Downey Jr. in Captain America: Civil War.
