Marvel fan theory suggests Deadpool is key to defeating Thanos in Avengers 4

Reddit user Manti12 has offered up a theory speculating on what it will take to defeat Thanos in the upcoming untitled Marvel’s Avengers 4 film. The superhero at the heart of the theory is none other than the merc in the red suit, Deadpool.

Avengers 4 has become the most anticipated film among Marvel fans. Without any trailers or plot details available to the public, fans have had to create their own ideas on what could happen in Avengers 4.

On Reddit, Manti12 is suggesting a possible debut for Deadpool in the MCU. Manti12 says with Ant-Man currently trapped in the Quantum Realm, he will be able to travel through various alternate realities, including the universe where the X-Men characters reside, including Deadpool. While this theory probably won’t become reality, it’s still an intriguing theory to come from Marvel fans.

When Ant-Man runs into Deadpool, they will rely on Cable’s time travel device, which Deadpool used to fix mistakes like Green Lantern. Once Ant-Man gets ahold of the device, he can go back in time to stop Thanos. This would also explain all the time travel and flashbacks that have been hinted about on Twitter.

This theory is one of the funniest and would be amazing if Disney was legally able to bring it to life. Fans would be able to see the chemistry between funnymen Paul Rudd and Ryan Reynolds.

Unfortunately, this theory can’t happen in Avengers 4.  Disney is currently working at buying 21st Century Fox, which would allow Deadpool and other X-Men characters to appear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

January 2019, is the earliest anything could be done with Deadpool and Fox’s Marvel characters. With Avengers 4 already filmed, Deadpool will not be making an appearance. However, he could join up for the next time Marvel characters assemble.

Avengers 4 will be in theaters in 2019.
