Our heroes just can’t seem to catch a break. But which member of the Avengers has had it worse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

The teaser trailer for Avengers: Endgame finally arrived earlier this week. It’s the most depressing one yet! With the exception of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) it’s all tears and hopelessness. Fans also feel that, as much as the teaser showed, we didn’t get much new info at all. We can’t wait until we see the full-length trailer!

In the meantime, going with the heartbreaking vibes from the teaser, we’re taking a look back at the lives of the Avengers. Daddy issues, family drama, frozen for decades, which Avenger is the most deserving of a happy ending?

After the release of Avengers: Endgame‘s first teaser, fans took to Twitter to ask Marvel for Tony Stark aka Iron Man’s (Robert Downey Jr.) happiness. It’s true, Stark has had it rough from the start and has been depressed since Iron Man. More money, more problems?

More from Marvel Movies

Stark has gone through daddy issues, was kidnapped and tortured, realized the pain his Stark Industry weapons caused, lived with shrapnel, lost Pepper Potts, then got her back only to find himself lost in space. Not to mention all the pain he must be going through after watching Peter Parker turn to dust in his arms. Tony Stark has a tough exterior, but is a softie on the inside, in need and deserving of all the love.

Meanwhile, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) lived a nice life pre-Captain America. Sure, he struggled and was bullied, but he made the best of it and never gave up. Being frozen for 70 years is no fun, but in the end he was reunited with his friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan), at least.

We could also look back at Black Window (Scarlett Johansson), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and Ant-Man’s lives. As well as the others. But I think we already know who the winner (or is it ‘loser,’ in this case?) is…

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has definitely lost and suffered more than all Avengers combined. Thor has lost his entire family, friends, his planet! Guys, Thor even lost his EYE! Thor even said it himself in Avengers: Infinity War: “what more could I lose?” Literally nothing. This guy needs a win. Badly.

Not to rub salt on the wound, but even the first two Thor movies weren’t very good. At least the hero surprised us all with Thor: Ragnarok and finally made it to the list of our favorite Avengers. Now we all love him and just want him to be happy!

Next. The scene in Avengers: Infinity War no one is talking about. dark
