Chicago Fire Season 7 is currently on a break. That’s not going to be for long. When will Chicago Fire return in 2019?

Like most other shows across broadcast and cable, Chicago Fire is on a break. It’s fall finale aired earlier this month and now we have to wait for the new year to see new episodes again. Just how long do we have to wait for Chicago Fire to return in 2019?

Well, there isn’t too long now. Firehouse 51 will be back on duty from Jan. 9, 2019. With the success of One Chicago Wednesdays, it’s keeping its 9/8c slot, sandwiched between Med and PD. There shouldn’t be any worry about this show going anywhere, either, unless NBC is completely off its rocker.

It’s going to be one intense episode when the show does return. The last we left our favorite firefighters, Casey was stuck inside his apartment with Naomi as it burned around them. While we know Casey shouldn’t be going anywhere from the series, there’s always that worry that something bad is going to happen.

With Naomi as a guest star, will she be the one gravely injured because of the blaze? Will Casey blame himself, even though it’s clear that this is an arson attack. While Derek Haas won’t confirm it is, this has to be the work of the trailer park company Naomi has been investigating.

Meanwhile, Severide and Stella are on some rocky ground. During Valentine’s Day week, we’ll see Emily, Brett, and Stella head off to Stella’s hometown, which doesn’t sound like a good thing for Stellaride. Can Severide ever be happy?
