Some good news is that the network has already decided on when most of its shows will air in 2019. There are the odd shows with unknown start dates, but Rachel Bloom’s dramedy isn’t one of them. Your Friday night guilty pleasure is back on Jan. 11, 2019.

There really isn’t long left for the series to return. The downside is that it means the show will be over sooner. As it’s the last season, it’s definitely disappointing but all good things must come to an end and the fourth season was always intended to be the last.
There’s currently no synopsis for the episode but the title is “I Need Some Balance.” The CW has already released a short 10-second teaser, but there’s definitely more to come from the network for this midseason premiere. After all, the teaser gives absolutely nothing away.

This episode will mark the halfway point, with 18 episodes making up this final season. In a way, that’s great news. The last two seasons only have 13 episodes, so there’s more content this year but it’s bittersweet that it’s the last.
We should expect a run of episodes without a break since The CW is possibly making room on Friday nights to air the iZombie final season since Jan the Virgin is taking over All American‘s Wednesday night slot when it finishes its first season run.
