It’s a magical time of year and not just because the holidays are around the corner. Acorn TV has released its January 2019 listings and there’s plenty of exciting, intriguing, and funny content. Whether you’re looking for drama or comedy, the British, Australian, New Zealand, and other international content has you covered.

But where do you start? Before getting into the full listing from Acorn TV, I’m going to look at the five must-watches from the New Year releases to prevent things from being too overwhelming. Here are five shows and movies you need to watch in January 2019.

5. No Offence Season 3

One of the first drops of the month is the third season of No Offence. The police comedy is the perfect way to laugh off one of the hardest weeks of the year (the second week of January). All six episodes of the British comedy will be available, with Viv, Dinah, and the Friday Street team going up against their most dangerous antagonist yet.

It’s all about the Far Right. Expect plenty of violence and assassin drama, as the mayoral elections take place. Will they be able to catch the powerful benefactors of the Far Right? What could possibly go wrong?
