When is New Amsterdam back in 2019?
New Amsterdam is the hot new medical drama for NBC. When will the show return to screens with new episodes in 2019?
NBC has had success with two dramas this year. One of those is the medical drama New Amsterdam, which sees The Blacklist‘s Ryan Eggold take on the role of medical director at America’s first public hospital. Now the big question is when it will return from its winter break.
There isn’t too long to wait. NBC does have it’s release dates and New Amsterdam is set to return on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at its usual time. This is the same week that the One Chicago shows and Manifest are back.

The fall finale aired on Nov. 27, leaving us with a long list of questions. After a woman was brought into the hospital, Eggold’s Max learned that she’d been a donor patient and had received his sister’s heart. He was going to do whatever it took to make sure he saved the patient and the heart.
However, it was clear he was battling his own issues. Max made it clear that he didn’t want the side effects of chemo and wanted to do a clinical trial instead. By the end of the episode, things took a turn for the worst for Max, as he grabbed his neck and collapsed. What does this mean for him moving forward?

We’ll have to wait for the midseason premiere to find out. My theories is that it’s the wakeup call that he needs to get chemo, similar to Maggie’s change of heart in A Million Little Things.
There isn’t a synopsis or trailer out for the midseason premiere yet. Hidden Remote will bring the details of the midseason premiere when they’re out. There is a teaser available but it gives absolutely nothing away for the episode.
