5 best lines from Supernatural Season 4, Episode 22
The Supernatural Season 4 finale delivered a powerfully intense episode. Here are my five favorite lines from the episode.
Supernatural Season 4, Episode 22 was one of the most powerful episodes of the whole season. Wrapping up many of the storylines, some of which started in the third season, we got a chance to see Lucifer break free.
Like with all episodes, I have my favorite lines. They’re often the ones that stand out for various reasons, such as being funny or meaningful. These are my five favorite lines from “Lucifer Rising.”

I can feel it inside me, Ruby. I’ve changed… for good. And there’s no going back now.
Poor, Sammy. He was so lost at this point, believing he was on the right path. At this point, he was so certain that everything was lost. He’d walked away from it all to join Ruby. Many of us knew he was being manipulated and we hoped that he could be saved, but this line certainly has many worried.

Well, boo hoo, I am so sorry your feelings are hurt, princess! Are you under the impression that family’s supposed to make you feel good — bake you an apple pie, maybe? They’re supposed to make you miserable! That’s why they’re family!
Bobby always has some of the best episodes. He’s to-the-point and candid every single time. This line is just perfect. I usually like to cut the lines down shorter, but this one couldn’t be reduced. All of it is important for each individual part to make sense.
At this point, Bobby is telling Dean about everything wrong he’s done, about whining about Sam instead of doing something. He also compares Dean to John and not in a good way.
When it comes to lines about family, Bobby always has the best. He also always knows just what to say in the situation.
The others have lost faith. Dickless heathens. But not me.
This line means far more now since the other Princes of Hell have been introduced. I did wonder at first whether there were supposed to be other Princes, but this line suggests there were. Azazel tells Lucifer that others have lost faith, and it’s clear that he’s talking about his own kind — the ones who were supposed to help release Lucifer from the cage.
What is so worth saving? I see nothing but pain here.
This is another line that means more now with recent episodes, but it’s also a poignant episode to show how much Castiel wants to learn. All he sees is pain in the world. He goes on to tell Dean how he sees guilt and fear.
The more Castiel has learned, he realizes that there is a lot of pain in the world. There is a beauty to life, but this line is still important. While there may be pain, the world is still worth saving.
Even you have to admit — I’m — I’m awesome!
While I wished that Ruby had turned out to be friend instead of foe, I loved the delivery of this line. Genevieve Cortese Padalecki delivered the line in a way that suggested she was shocked with herself.
Granted, the last two years were hard. Ruby had managed to pull herself from the pit and make sure Lilith opened the seals she needed. With everyone else believing she was working with the Winchesters, she had a bounty on her head and took the danger for the greater evil. She was an excellent character when you look at it like that.
