Will Ferrell: 10 Greatest movies of all time
By John Dotson
Will Ferrell is everything one needs to make a great comedy even better. Here are his top 10 best movies of all time!
Will Ferrell, he who made Buddy the Elf and Ron Burgundy, rocked audiences hearts in Old School and made them laugh until they cried as Chaz in Wedding Crashers has had quite the career. He is undeniably one of America’s best faces of comedy. Ferrell is everything one needs when it is time to laugh.
Will Ferrell started out in improv, which shocks none of his fans. He has a degree in sports journalism and was an intern at NBC before he scored a role and rose to fame on Saturday Night Live. It’s interesting that one of America’s funniest men did not originally plan to become a comedy star but a journalist. This puts a whole new light on his decision to play Ron Burgundy in Anchorman. Before becoming a household name he had bit roles on shows like Living Single and Grace Under Fire.

Even though SNL desperately wanted Ferrell to stay on board, after he made his first film Night at the Roxbury, he chose to leave. It was then he found his niche as one of modern comedies best.
He went on to star in Old School and Buddy the Elf in the same year which makes his achievements even more unbelievable. Ferrell is funny in all of his roles, yet his humor is versatile. He is able to appeal to both the adult and the child in all of us.
Ferrell went on to establish Funny or Die, a site with short comedy sketches for people who need a laugh on the internet. A man of many talents, he also had a one-man show on Broadway and ran the Boston Marathon.
Ferrell is proof that one man can be all kinds of things if he has the right attitude. From animated films like The Lego Movie to more intense roles like the ones he plays in Everything Must Go or Stranger than Fiction (which I need to see), Ferrell has an uncanny ability to fit in any movie and make it a good one.
