Jordan Peele comes back with a new nightmare in Us
By Ivan Mora
Jordan Peele delivers a Merry Christmas with the release of the trailer for his new movie Us.
Us will be Peele’s second feature following his Oscar-winning debut with Get Out. After winning best original screenplay at the Oscars, Peele quickly announced the second film in the works filled with secrecy up until a couple of days ago.
The release of the trailer gave a very chilling and terrifying feel compared to his first film and people immediately fell in love with it. Peele has described Get Out as an emotional social thriller while stating that Us will fully embrace the horror.
That horror is on full display in the first trailer, which you can check out below, featuring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke, reuniting the Black Panther’s co-stars, as their leading male and female stars.

During a screening at the Bryant Park Hotel, Peele commented on his passion and what he expects out of a horror thriller.
"“It has been a labor of love. It is a horror film, I dedicated a lot of myself to create new horror mythology and a new monster. I think that monsters and stories about monsters are our best ways of getting at deeper truths and facing our fears as a society.”"

The Blumhouse production will follow a family vacationing on the beach when they receive eerie visitors similar to that of The Strangers. The major twist is, after a couple of scares and jolts, they realize the visitors are their own doppelgangers much to anyone’s surprise. Combine that with a psychological tone and Peele is back on track to deliver another box office and possible award season hit.
The film has a March 2019 release. Are you excited for another Jordan horror thriller?
