Supernatural introduced the demon called Abraxas. He’ll likely show up at some point in Season 14, but who will he be?

In Supernatural Season 14, Episode 7, Nick finally learned who was responsible for his wife and son’s murder. As many of you likely expected, it was a demon possessing a man, likely sent by Lucifer to encourage a vessel to say yes. However, all we got is a name of a demon that we’ve never seen before: Abraxas.

This is likely a demon that will show up at some point in Season 14. I do wonder if it will be at the end of the season, setting up a storyline for the next season, but this demon will be around soon. Now it’s time to get an idea of what to expect.

More from Supernatural

The demons and creatures on the series have been connected to real mythology in some way. It doesn’t seem ridiculous to believe that Abraxas is based on real lore. According to Black Witch Coven, Abraxas is a being that comes before God and the Devil, “uniting all opposites into one Being.”

This could mean that Abraxas came before God in the series. Is it possible that we’ll get the creator of God and Amara? Or is this just a demon who wanted to ensure the apocalypse in Season 5 could take place?

I do get the feeling that Abraxas is going to be more than just a demon, but will the writers go as far as bringing a creator of God and the universe — the creator of the parallel worlds? Could this then link to Dark!Kaia?
