Celebrity Big Brother 2 still airing in US, despite cancellation rumors
By Ryan Gamble
Celebrity Big Brother 2 is still going to roll out on CBS this winter. Cancellation rumors are floating around social media due to the end of CBB UK.
Celebrity Big Brother 2 will air its first United States episode on Monday, January 21. In other news, CBB UK has been canceled. These are two pieces of news that are getting combined by some people on social media. The U.S. version of the show is still going to happen this winter, even though the show from across the pond has come to a close. Maybe CBB UK will return later, but it has been canceled for now.
What happened with CBB UK getting canceled?
The bad news for fans of Celebrity Big Brother in Britain came out earlier this winter when it was officially announced that the show had been canceled. The regular version of the show was also brought to an end in that country, creating a lot of press that was confusing to some U.S. viewers. While it is sad news for viewers in Britain, it doesn’t affect the U.S. show.

A reason that it is back in the news, is that Celebrity Big Brother 21 for Britain began on January 2, 2018. It is now the one year anniversary of the beginning date, but the show won’t take place this winter.
The 2019 CBB USA schedule
In regard to the Celebrity Big Brother 2 start date in America, it is on Monday, January 21. CBS already released a full schedule of episodes, stretching into February before the season finale takes place. It’s going to be a quick installment, but it should still be very entertaining for viewers.
The new cast list hasn’t been revealed yet. Fans can expect it to be similar to the one that took place in 2018, with celebrities from the various entertainment industries battling it out for a $250,000 prize. The last winner was Marissa Jaret Winokur, who has starred in movies and on the Broadway stage.
Stay tuned fans, because with fewer than three weeks until the CBB USA season premiere, it means that the network will release a full cast list very soon. One person who might be on Celebrity Big Brother 2 is Dina Lohan, who was reportedly offered $100,000 just to play the game.
