The promo is now out for Supernatural Season 14, Episode 11. It’s time to break it down and look at what to expect in Thursday’s episode.

As much as there are still questions from the midseason premiere, it’s time right now to look ahead. The trailer for Supernatural Season 14, Episode 11 is out. Joined with the synopsis, there is plenty to take away from them.

While there has been some bitterness over the release of the synopsis, what that didn’t tell us was just how Michael would go. And he’s most definitely not gone for good. Will he return sometime soon?

Before we get into the breakdown, let’s take a look at the promo and synopsis. From this point, there will be some teasery bits based on them and spoilers if you’re not caught up yet.

"HOW DID WE GET HERE? – Dean (Jensen Ackles) spends some bonding time with Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) and Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster). Nick (Mark Pellegrino) finally finds the answer he has been searching for. Sam (Jared Padalecki) is left to make an unimaginable choice."

5. Dean is definitely suffering

More from Supernatural

Knowing that there’s only one way to stop the world from burning is going to be a difficult thing for Dean. He’s the direct cause for the world burning after jumping between worlds and saying “yes” to Michael. Sure, we all understand why he did it and he would likely do it all again, but there’s still guilt.

And that means he’s suffering, which we can get from the gun he pulls on his brother. He needs time out of the hunting world, which it looks like we’ll get in the upcoming episode based on the promo.

4. Everyone is worried about Dean

It looks like Dean is going to bottle a few things up. That’s pretty standard for his character, so it’s not surprising that everyone is worried about him.

Sam knows his brother well. There are only a handful of times Dean will hug Sam, and Mary seems to get that this is out of character for her elder son too. Now the question is what’s wrong? What’s Dean doing that worries everyone so much?

3. Nick may find out who Abraxas is

Nick is still searching for answers. We haven’t seen him since “Unhuman Nature” but it doesn’t look like he’s completely given up yet. Since Lucifer isn’t coming to him, it looks like he’s searching for answers alone.

Will those answers involve Abraxas? This demon (I presume demon, anyway) is likely going to become the big threat. Why do I get the feeling that Nick will be the direct reason for that? Will he end up possessed?

2. Dean is building something

We get to see Dean welding in the promo, but it’s not clear what he’s working on. Mary finds something in a book, a page marked with a metal bar. Is it possible that he’s building some sort of cage or panic room?

Now that Dean knows there’s only one way to protect the world, he’ll want to act on it. This could involve locking himself away, something he’s considered doing before.

1. Donna is back

The Supernatural Season 14, Episode 11 synopsis makes it clear Donna is back. The images for the episode do the same and she’s coming face-to-face with Nick. Now the question is what she’s going to do when she has Nick in handcuffs. Is there anything she can do?

Also, what’s she going to do to help Mary with Dean? She surely isn’t going to be one to sit on her hands and let everything play out. She’ll want to help anyway she can.
