Good Trouble Season 1, Episode 3 preview and live stream: Allies

For once Callie let loose after Mariana made Jude attend the Coterie party and convinced Callie to have fun. Now she may be in jeopardy for missing Judge Wilson’s work. Here’s what to expect tonight on Good Trouble and how to watch it live.

The second episode of Good Trouble improved a lot more than the pilot, and that shouldn’t come as a shock. Pilots are always the hardest part to obtain the audience’s attention, as the writers have to capture the premise of the series. There is only so much you can put in the pilot to make it entertaining, while the writers are introducing the characters.

In the second episode of Good Trouble, titled “The Coterie”, you’re starting to learn more about the new characters, so it makes it easier for the flow to go naturally. Thanks to Mariana for inviting Jude to the party, we saw Callie let loose instead of focusing on work. It was great seeing Jude back as well!

However, that may bring consequences as Callie missed Judge Wilson’s phone call as she left the phone in one of the bathroom stalls. Her co-worker, Rebecca, ended up writing the bench memo for Judge Wilson. We saw Callie almost break down when she heard about that. She doesn’t want to get fired, nor do we want her to get fired.

Now the next episode sounds interesting. Callie’s love life is heating up after she reaches out to an old friend for some legal advice. I thought that could be either Elliot Fletcher (Aaron) or Beau Mirchoff (Jamie Hunter), both from The Fosters.

We already know that Beau is guest-starring in a few episodes in Good Trouble but Elliot isn’t confirmed to appear on the spin-off yet. So chances are it may be Jamie Hunter that may be returning to both Callie’s life and love life. I’d love to see Elliot return. He was a lovable character on The Fosters.

In addition to Callie’s love life, Callie was being casual with Gael. I don’t think it’s a serious relationship between the two of them, so there probably won’t be any drama from Gael since there’s no strings attached. What was interesting though is that we’ve seen in one of the below sneak peek videos, Callie said she doesn’t have time to be in a relationship unless she gets fired.

Having history with an old friend would easily see someone give their heart to their old friend, so I could absolutely see Callie changing her mind about not wanting to be in a relationship. It also doesn’t appear she will be fired though, as we see Callie, Rebecca, Ben, and Judge Wilson in the stills.

From gathering these sneak peeks, you learn a bit about what may occur in the third episode.

Malika was stunned to learn that Callie was in juvenile, especially three times. Who could blame her? Callie’s character development has grown so much. She graduated from UCSD, she’s a law clerk for Judge Wilson, and she’s now part of a family. You wouldn’t even think Callie was in juvenile, let alone three times.

I think that something may have happened to the case with the LAPD shooting of Jamal Thompson. We saw people standing outside the court holding signs of Jamal Thompson to not have the case dismissed and have justice served for him. Afterward, we saw Rebecca and Ben smiling and Callie looking upset followed by Malika crying while looking at her phone.

I could only think that is negative news or Malika wouldn’t have been crying and Callie wouldn’t have looked upset. It’s possible that Callie cannot do anything about the case as Rebecca may have replaced her on the case.

I may be wrong though as the episode name is “Allies” so maybe Rebecca helped Callie out? They could have become friends. But then why would Malika be crying? We’ll find to have find out tonight. We’re also be meeting Gael’s transgender sister, Jazmin in tonight’s episode.
